These instructions are for tattoos applied by Menace. Please follow the aftercare provided by your tattoo professional.
Aftercare supplies needed:
Soap – Dial Gold Liquid antibacterial soap.
Ointment – Aquaphor. NO TATTOO GOO
Lotion – Curel, Lubriderm or Eucerin (unscented only)
Aftercare Schedule:
Day 1: After 3 hours (or soon after the 3 hour mark) wash your hands and remove the bandage/wrap. Lather up and gently wash the tattoo. Do not use washcloths or lufas. Pat dry with a clean paper towel and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor like you are rubbing in lotion. If there are visible streaks, there is too much ointment. Do not re-bandage the tattoo.
Day 2/3: Wash your hands and then lather up again and gently wash the tattoo and apply a thin layer of ointment. Repeat the procedure 3 times a day.
Until completely healed: Wash your hands and apply a thin layer of unscented lotion 3 times a day or whenever it’s dry.
Absolutely NO: Direct sun, tanning, soaking, swimming, hot tubs, or baths until healed completely. Picking, rubbing, scratching, or itching your tattoo! Your body will naturally exfoliate, let it.
